Hi!
I'm starting my Nursing program this fall:) The suggested curriculum is:
Foundations of Nursing (8 credits)
Intro to Psych (3 credits)
Comp 1 (3 credits)
A&P 1 (4 credits)
Total: 18 credits
I have already completed the Psych, Comp 1 and A&P 1, so I am just scheduled for Foundations of Nursing.
All my other non-nursing classes are done, except the A&P 2 and Micro.
Here are my questions:
1. Should I take Microbiology this semester instead of next Fall? It fits into the schedule, but A&P 2 does not, except at night.
2. How hard is Micro?
3. Or should I take A&P 2 at night? This might be hard for me with three children.
Thanks for any help!

Hi Michelle!
I would definately recommend taking at least one of them this semester if you can and get it out of the way. If Micro works better for you then take it. I really enjoyed Micro, but it was one of the most difficult classes I've taken. Good luck to you! Let us know what you decide to do! :)

I asked the chairperson of my department the same thing, and she told me that I should take Micro with the Nursing 107 course, since 107 is easier than Nursing 108. So that's what I'm going to do.

Don't take on anymore than necessary during clinicals. I'm splitting my last 2 pre-reqs up over this summer and next summer. Good luck.

Hi! I think if you can you should go ahead and take Micro w/o nursing. It is a dificult course. That way you can save yourself all the stress in the fall. Good luck!
