How many of you are there? What's next for you? I've just registered for classes. We only have one set of clinicals in the first semester. It's adult care 1. Other than that we have assessment and fundamentals. I need to get my physical and get tested to see if I still have immunity from previous vaccines. If not, I get to be a pin cushion for a little while :) Other than that, I have to figure out how I'm going to pay for school now that I'm taking on twice the tuition bill transferring to a university. I'm applying to two hospitals to see if I can get in their scholarship and service programs. This is a super busy month!

Congrats to everyone! After getting a denial letter for a BSN program in early April, I got an email from the program's nursing coordinator about a week ago asking me to call her. I called, left a message, and when she called back, she asked me what my plans were for the Fall because if I wanted to start the program then the spot was mine! I will be graduating with a BA in Spanish in about 2 weeks and I will be attending my nursing orientation that same day! I can't wait to meet my classmates!

Thank you! I was in disbelief, I had already moved on and was getting ready to apply to ABSN programs or wait for an ADN program. I think some people who had gotten into my program had also gotten into others and chose those programs instead, opening a spot for me. It is amazing how much different our lives will be! Everything happens for a reason :D

Oh yeah!! Got into a very competitive program and am super pumped. We kick off August 20. Got round one of my immunizations and heading out tomorrow to order my uniforms. Asked me if I wanted my name embroidered and I was like, "Are you kidding?? Slap my name on those scrubs!!" I think I'll frame my acceptance letter.

BTW, in a cohort of 80, I'm one of 3 guys. Any other men out there?

I got my acceptance letter a little over a month ago. My orientation is May 14th and I'm so nervous and excited. Are any of you planning are studying ahead of time? I'm trying to figure out what to go over and review from AP, or medical math from pharm. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I got accepted and start in July. I downloaded a bunch of apps on my phone and went to my library and got some books on nursing, an NCLEX study book, and an anatomy book. I figure they'll help give me a jump start. I think reading anything you can get your hands on beforehand is going to be helpful. I can already tell you I've learned a ton from the NCLEX book.

So happy for everyone! After getting a letter of alternate status from UTC, I finally got one of acceptance into their fall 2012 BSN program! I'm on cloud 9, somebody pinch me. Unfortunately, I'm a little lost since the make-up orientation is not until August. Any helpful hints? I've done the drug screen/background check/immunizations, I'm just looking for advice about the nursing program itself! :)

Just received my acceptance letter yesterday! Took some time because I had a forwarding address set up. I was getting so anxious. We have two orientation meetings in June before classes start in August.

Looking forward to meeting the group!

I was accepted to Chattahoochee Technical College's ADN program which starts in August! I am so nervous but cannot wait for the program to start. Congrats to everyone - we have all worked so hard to get to where we are. Good luck!
