I can't take micro this summer, I have to take the HPRS and I can't quit my job until the semester starts and I'm afraid taking both will not allow me to focus on my job which isn't fair to my employer.
Have you checked both summer 1 and 2 schedules? And all campuses? You might be able to find a micro class that fit your schedule. Good luck,
    Katie

Thanks Fun2Care, Yang and LKG6 for your responses. I'm hopeful to meet people like you in my class!

Annnnd, while I'm at it... Can you all give me any insight as to what we'll be doing at the orientation session? What choices are made there, any instructor suggestions? (for NLC campus) I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to gut out micro and HPRS this summer...

I don't know anything about the instructors there, except one and I'd steer clear of her. I'll PM you that info. But, as far as the orientation, it was listening to a bunch of people tell you pretty much what is in your acceptance packet. You choose poker chips and then they'll randomly draw numbers to choose clinicals - that's at the very end. The textbook guy will come and talk to you, as will the bookstore people (yes, they are different folks!), as well as Al Tolentino, and probably a couple other people with random information. But, it is required! Anyway, you'll get to meet others in your class and that's probably the best part.

Have fun - when is it?

If you have a Ms. T. on your schedule put her as your last choice. And have fun there!

Hey ya'll, I decided to take Micro this summer. It seems like a good idea to have it out of the way before my first semester of nursing classes. Bummer is I have to drive over to Richland because it's the only campus with a schedule that fits... I'm certain based on ya'lls feedback I'll be glad I did it with HPRS this summer instead of waiting.

    Thanks again!

Good luck in Micro and HPRS. I'm sure you will be glad you did it this way once nursing school starts.

Wow -- lots to catch up on! I'm so far behind!

I'm still in Houston right now, but will be heading back to town tomorow or so.

Face -- Sheesh! That is what I was wearing. I was in there twice, though -- once with Yang and once without (I had to pick up my packet and drop off my request to switch campuses).

I'm taking Micro this summer because we do need it by the end of 2nd semester. I do NOT want to take it with my other nursing classes! The nursing lecture courses are tough enough without trying to add anything to my plate!

Spill -- Can you FIND vanilla coke? Once they came out with that cherry vanilla stuff, I haven't been able to find vanilla coke. I miss it! I want to see the baby-belly

What is everyone doing in early June? Someone we know *cough* is turning 29. Maybe we could get together then? Hope everyone is doing well!!

woo hoo!!!! your switching campuses???? Come on over to NLC baby! Yea!
I got your vm the other day...I am so sorry I haven't called you back yet. I suck! Let's plan our summer get together soon --where do ya'll want to go? I'm always down for Mexican food.

Mexican food sounds good to me! And I'm seeing Stevie Nicks for your birthday, remember??? You're still welcome to join us! Don't mention changing campuses...I'm a bitter woman :angryfire . Let me know if you guys pick some place.

I am glad to see you are taking Micro during the summer Jaxia!

Does everyone else have theirs taken already?

2nd semester is B*T(H without courses! It's just really busy!

I'm glad the Pharm Test has been canned...one less thing to stress about. ...Just learn them as normal test stuff....not 4 strikes - you're out!

And hey......I *LIKE* THE CHERRY VANILLA STUFF! Don't mess with it!

Cool to see you comin' over to NLC!!! (Of course, I will be there on Wednesdays...so if you aren't in lab on Wednesday, I may never see you!) :spin:

Ok Spill....have you taken plenty of baby belly pics? Do you walk around with a skimpy shirt on with your belly showing? (That fad was not in when I was pregnant.) :chuckle

Have you already sent the clinical site paper back to ECC? I think I will take the train and deliver it in person.
