Is it true in GA, after your first semester of nursing school you can take the CNA certification exam? Also, is it true in GA, after your first year in nursing school you can sit for the NCLEX-PN?

I've been looking for this information, but failed to find it.

Did you call the GA BoN? They're the ones who know everything about licensure in GA.

Don't make me look up the phone number for you, too. :)

No, its not true. My friend graduated from MSC and she tried and they told her if she wanted to sit for the PN NCLEX she should have gone through that program first. The CNA is a test you can challenge you don't need formal training for that. .. hope that helps!

In our school after we took our nursing fundamentals class we were told we could sit for our CNA license. That's in Indiana though.
