Does anyone ever just want to quit??? - page 2
Do any of you guys ever just want to quit school and forget this whole thing? I mean, I quit my job to go back to school. I got a student loan to pay for a sitter for my three children, and I am... Read More
Sep 30, '02I want to quit almost everyday. When I come from clinicals I feel energized and reminded of the reason I decided to go to nursing school. It is really hard. Right now I am struggling with a low B/high C average and it's disheartening. I work 40 hours a week (sometimes more) and go to school 2x a week with clinicals all day Saturday. I feel really mad at myself sometimes because I can't make the A's that I am used to and would like, but it's just so hard to find the time to do as much as I would like.
Oct 1, '02Gee I feel like giving up alot to as I really know what the meaning of strugle is now with young children, a husband that works endless hours and the kids having to go without a lot of things.
But I tell my children that it's not always going to be like this but really I think I say it more to remind myself.

I can relate to exactly how you feel. Believe it or not, we will start paying off last Christmas in November (credit cards)~bill collectors call us daily, my car is in the shop with well over $1000 repairs on it, we need a new breaker box for our house, we have a short somewhere and have no electric in our bathroom or our daughters bedroom, I had to make arrangements to catch up a month on our house payment, we had to go on food stamps, and we have bills out the wazoo....
Yes, I know how you feel, but I also know that quitting was NOT an option during nursing school. This was my dream and I was going to do it come hell or high water! (Seems as if both are here!) But we will get out of this mess, and so will you.
Oh, and I am a nurse now. So I did realize my dream and I am continuing on to ASN. Praise God! He is the only true way through anything!
Hang in there kiddo....you can do this...we are here for you!
