Crybaby - page 3

:crying2: Okay, let's have it. Have you made it through a semester yet without at least one good cry? I keep saying this is the semester when I'll be tough; no tears are gonna come out of this... Read More

I curse so much during school, and I never used to talk like that. What's terrible is on the few holidays that I actually get to visit with aunts, cousins, etc.. and the f#%$ word comes flying out of my mouth, they almost have heart attacks. They just can't believe that I would talk like that. I use it in almost everyday conversation now. Have a nice f$%*&#@ day! Pretty nice F&%$#$% weather we're having! I didn't sleep a f&*%$# wink last night. The list goes on and on. I often have to catch myself.
My children don't have "virgin" ears! I was mad one time, and my husband told me to stop swearing around where the kids could here. I told him I'd rather have them learn it correctly from me than on the playground and use the words in the wrong context!! LOL I look back now and cringe. I must have been REALLY PO'd to say that! :imbar

Jen2, I'd hate to hear what it would f*!$# sound like if we had a conversation!

I think crying is a great release and actually LIKE to do it sometimes...though I hate the heavy eyelids later. I am sure once I get back into school in the fall that I will be a crying mess much of the time! LOL! (but i'll never let my classmates or instructors see it, that's for sure!)

I have been a nurse since 86 and everyone once in a while I still do.

Glad to hear I'm not alone! I've cried at home once or twice, which made me so angry at myself... I want to be able to control my emotions and each time it happened I felt like a failure. Reading the responses on this thread has caused me to think of it in a different way.

From now on, I am going to look at it as simply a means of stress relief. Looking at it differently may help

Yea I'm a crier too. I almost started crying once in class even. Oh the humiliation. I couldn't figure out how to work a problem in basic chem class and my professor was so patient he just walked me through the problem step by step but the nicer he was the more I wanted to cry. go figure.

The crying spells start almost always the same way. In the middle of the semester I start yelling at my DH that I'm too stupid, I don't understand, I should just quit and then I start balling like a baby. I remember the first semester my DH looked shocked and at a loss. he had no idea what was happening. He reassured me not to quit and I could do this.
The second semester I did it again he had a look on his face that said "oh this again"
The third semester I did it again and he actually smirked a little then quickly covered that and just said you'll be fine, don't give up.
And so all the rest of semesters are seeming to go the same way.

The cursing thing: I use to not curse. Now I understand why I have picked up on the foul language and why my family seems to be doing it more often too. Geez I thought I was getting it from them but I bet that it was me that started it.
