comfortable clogs for clinicals???

I will be starting clinicals this fall and want to know if anyone has suggestions on some comfortable clogs to wear all day. I was looking at the "KLOGS" brand.

Are you sure they're allowed? Most nursing schools I've heard of do not allowed open shoes because they're more likely to cause tripping or accidents.

I hope they are allowed...a lot of people i know have already bought them!!

If not, Iwill probly get a pair of closed back Birkes or Danskos.

I agree, make sure they're allowed before you buy! Although I'm a big clog/open-back shoe fan, I'm not sure I'd wear them for clinicals or work - I've been in some "messy floor" situations, and I'd feel better with my feet more covered up!

definitely check!! My school wants white running shoes only...nothing else!!

My school does not allow clogs either (for the same reason stated above. They are dangerous while hurrying, etc.). We're not even allowed white sneakers - they must be nursing shoes. I got the white nursemates sneakers - for some reason, THOSE are fine, but not white Nike's or any other white sneakers. The only way you can tell is by the little blue heart logo on them. Go figure.

My school won't allow clogs, either. I got Nursemates "Dove" shoe. It's a classic loafer, but so lightweight and comfy. I worked as an aide for a few years, and will wear nothing but Nursemates. They're the best. Try some on and see.

our handbook says "All white leather shoes, toe and heel enclosed, with low heels (no clogs)..."

Check www.shoesforcrews.com and they have Dansko look alikes which are just as comfortable and are much much cheaper.:)

I checked withour school and the debate is still out on clogs for clinicals for next fal!!! SO I just bought a pair of Danskos and am done with it.
