I was just wondering what your school requires you to wear to clinicals?

Just curious.....;)

I am in the last semister of an ADN program. We are required to wear school uniforms, which consist of blue pants and top with pockets. The top has the school logo on the sleeve. We also have a white lab coat with the logo on the sleeve.

For places not requiring a uniform (such as a health fair or other community work), we have to wear "nice" clothes. No jeans or cleavage/midriff showing. No piercings besides ear lobes with "sensible stud" earrings and no tattoos showing. Low-heeled shoes that are enclosed. Nametag on.

For clinicals requiring a uniform, it's any kind of scrubs we want (any color or pattern). White shoes and socks; no piercings or tattoos (like community dress), nametag on. Long hair should be pulled up out of the way.

Edit: Oh yeah, and we have to wear the nursing student crest whenever we're wearing scrubs.

Our "school uniform" for clinical is red scrubs (RED RED RED) and the school patch on the left chest.

It's funny. It's stoplight red so it's like we have a "warning warning warning" going off all the time *LOL*

in my program for the first 3 years you have to wear white scrubs with the school logo/badge on one arm. in the fourth year depeding on where you go you can wear different colored scrubs and in our senor practicum we are alowed to wear anything that nurses wear

thankfully i no longer have to wear white ....... dont even know where my white uniforms have gone :)

Our school requires the school uniform...which is black scrubs and top with logo, I guess they are ok but people do call us the "grim reapers"

lol that is too funny!! It reminds me of a nursing cartoon that I saw here:http://www.nurstoon.com/comic179.html

Our ADN program colors are green and white. Green scrub top with our school logo in white and white pants.

Our clinical uniforms are see-through white. Pants, oxford style shirts, and a lab coat. We have patches on the left sleeve of both the shirts and the jackets. When I say see through I mean SEEEEE THROUGH!

When we get to Peds clinicals we are allowed to wear colored/themed tops.

Our colors are navy and white - polo shirts with our crest on the front and these hideous polyester pants that kind of look like scrubs, but are horribly unflattering and itchy with crotches at the knees. White shoes and socks.

We have to wear white from head to toe. Before classes started we got our information packet and it was stressed that even our shoes could have NO color on them, not even grey stitching! I searched for days for a pair of all white sneakers/shoes in my size (11). I finally called the director of the program and she said that the blue hearts on nursemates were okay, they just stress all white so no one tries to wear sneakers with all of those stripes on them! I look at my classmates feet all the time. Apparently no one is checking for colors afterall. I hate wearing all white. I feel like a giant pilsbury doughboy. :(
