HI AGAIN

IS IT A GOOD THING TO BE CERTIFIED IN ALOT OF THINGS BEFORE BEFORE OR DURING AND AFTER BECOMING A LPN? LIKE IV CERTIFIED AND PHLEBOTOMY CERTIFIED. AND ANY OTHER THAT I MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT. BECAUSE OF SOME HOSPITAL AND STATES DON'T ALLOW LPN TO DO CERTAIN THINGS WITHOUT BEING CERTIFIED. SHOULD I DO THESE CERTIFICATION NOW IF I CAN?

ALSO IF YOU HAVE NO EXP. STRAIGHT OUT OF SCHOOL IS IT HARD TO GET SOME ONE TO HIRE YOU?

MOONIELOVE

Hello Moonielove~

I had to wait until after I was a LPN before I could be certified in anything! LOL! I am currently certified in IV Therapy, and soon to be certified in PPD Testing.

And no, it's not really hard to have someone to hire you straight out of school, as long as you aren't expecting to go straight to the top!

Continue learning and do your best, and any employer will be able to see that you are a valuable asset and will be willing to promote you.

Good Luck!

Julie :)

PS: Hey Moonie~ All capital letters in a post, means that you are yelling. Do you mean to do that? ;)

Julielpn,

Thanks for all the information, I guess I will have to be patient and it all will fall in place.

ps. I didn't know that meant I was yelling. I'm sorry I just left the caps lock button on after password

Hey Moonie~

Things will fall into place...probably much quicker than it seems! I am the same way though, when I want something, I WANT IT NOW! I don't want to have to wait for it! LOL!

Just like my nursing career....I was in the pre-reqs of my BSN and changed to get my LPN first because it was quicker. I didn't want to wait 4 years to be able to nurse!

Hang in there, you'll do fine, I'm sure!

Julie :)
