Can't afford nursing school

  1. 0
This is more like a vent. I got accepted into nursing school but I'm $5000 short. I already have fed loans but it just wasn't enough. I'm not against private loans I'm just not able to get one. I don't have any credit and my mom has bad credit and student loans that she still owes. I feel like this is my only chance so I just have to do what I have to do.

Have you looked for grants? There is a TON of money out there, but it takes effort and time to find it and jump through all the hoops to get it. Good Luck!

You can afford nursing school. You can't afford a for-profit school. Do yourself a favor and find a cheaper place. You'll be grateful 5, 10, 15 years from now!

I understand that. But if you can't pay for it, I'm not really sure how it's an option either. Have you tried applying for scholarships? Obviously you wouldn't have them in a couple weeks, but I know Chaimberland has pretty frequent start dates, and could take you when you're more prepared.

I think it is better to wait it out on a waitlist rather than pay so much for Chamberlain. Seriously, that is way too much for tuition & you are still 5k short... I know community colleges where the whole program costs just that little.
