Hey guys! Starting my nursing class on September 5. I am nervous, excited and did I say nervous. Let's start a thread together and support each other on this journey. Got all my books but I have yet to buy my uniform and shoes. I am so excited. Can't wait to start. Any one out there starting in September or started over the summer? Let's share our fears, anxiety and experience. Let us all walk this journey together and share our experiences along the way. Let's start our own support group lol! Let's walk the next two years together and keep this thread going....Can't wait to start my classes...

We graduate fall of 2014. i am in week 8...I think. Lol. We have had 2 tests in all the classes- I have three main ones plus labs. Heath assessment, fundies, and pharm. All the fundies lab pass offs are done, on to clinicals! I'm getting an A in HA, and Bs in the other two. Darn grading scale is killing me! I've had 92s on 3 tests but 93 or above is an A. We start clinicals after fall break next week. Ooh, I'm so needing a break! Even if it is only two days!

I had started August 15th and I will graduate spring 2014 I am still excited and looking forward for the up coming semesters....I already had 2 clinicals 3 more to go and 1 sim/lab, 6 more to go and 4 tests 3 more to go so far i'm at a C avg. which isn't so bad but I hope to pull that up and pass with at least a B at the end of semester :)

Started nursing school August 2012 and graduating with my BSN in May 2014!!

Hi everyone! I graduated in 2014!!! I JUST passed nursing 1A :-) 1B Starts Monday and my clinicals start the 19th! I'm really nervous. Thank god I'm just taking nursing classes all of my pre requisites are done! I'm looking for a support group of people going through you same thing. Is anyone working full time? I'm working full time and a mommy of a 6 year old! My husband is semi supportive, but doesn't understand!

Any tips or study tricks? I try to read but get sleepy every time I pick up a book! I look forward to chatting with some of you :-)

The past couple weeks have been CRAZY. Pretty much running on caffeine but I am loving it! I haven't started clinicals yet (not until October) but I do go to orientation of the facility tomorrow! Last Friday my class got an official tour of the skills lab at my school and it is so awesome. It's amazing what they can do with mannequins! We walked into this small room and laying on the bed was a mannequin that not only greeted us, but he was also breathing and apparently he can cry and sweat too! Too cool. Next week things will get a little more busy. I have a couple papers due, a community teaching-learning project, and foundation skills check-off. I wouldn't change a moment of it! I am so thankful to be in this program. Hope everyone is doing well in their programs!

Where do you go to class?

I started my nursing program on Sept 24th, our program is Monday and Tuesday from 10am to 630pm. It's a hybrid program 60% in class work and 40% online studying. It's a lot every Monday we have a quiz and every Tuesday we have an exam. Doing vital signs and physical assessments this upcoming week. I'm glad I've been a CNA for the past 1 1/2 years. Things haven't been too hard yet and it's showing getting a 90% in the Block 1 so far. :-) I hope everyone else is doing well.

Just finished clinical day #4. I am really loving everything about nursing school so far. Is it a pain in the azz? Yes. Am I overtired from lack of sleep? Yes. Does my brain feel like a water balloon so full that it could pop at any minute? Yes. But,..... It is all so very worth it. The time I have spent with the patients, one a week, from complete non-communicative bed rest to full walkie-talkies, has been so gratifying. I am a 40 year old nursing student who has had MANY "professions" through my young and stupid years. This is by far the best that I have ever felt about what I am doing with my life and more importantly what I am doing for society.

Hi everyone! I am just finishing up with my first term. It has been amazing. I am in love with it. About to move onto Med Surg which I am thrilled about and I start clinical on November 8th! Super excited and nervous at the same time! I love reading everyones posts. We all can and will do this! It is almost 2013 which means 2014 is that much closer!
