    Hi all,

    I'm beginning my nursing classes this summer & I'm nervous about clinics. I'm nervous I will not be confident in my skills when in the clinic setting. I tend to be a shy person at first, especially in new settings. How can I combat this shyness & feel confident in what I'm doing?

    PERSERVERANCE!!! There are many times I went to clinicals feeling like I was going to chunk last night's dinner, but once you get in the door and jump into every opportunity available that feeling usually goes away right after receiving report! I'm super shy too..I've been a stay at home mom for the last 4 years so this was a HUGE culture shock for me!
