I'm rounding out my last term in nursing school, and wanted to get myself an assessment textbook to see me through practice.
I'm trying to find one that gives good, clear information about WHY I'm assessing the things the book says to.
Like, what am I suspecting when I hear one specific difference when auscultating a certain spot?
The two resources I'm looking at the most are the Bates Nursing Guide to Physical Assessment and then the just plain Bates Guide to Physical Asessment. But I'm open to hearing other ideas.
What do you think?
