I'm a BSN Completion student. Just got off of work and am so far behind in a class that's just ending. I wish anyone could do this care plan for me....... Anyone feel like giving up besides myself? Working as a RN, it's difficult to plug away at the Completion when there is no light at the end of the tunnel. No more pay, no growth, no nothing...so why am I doing this? ARGGG!!!!!:confused:

There IS light- nothing lasts forever.

Others have done this, and you can as well- you have a lot on your plate- but the only way out is through....

I'm an old fossil...

I'm only an ADN (which served me well)....but a BSN gives you options in many markets- even if your initial paychecks don't give you the "impression" that you've done anything ... but you have- and you may not see it for a while. But in time, it will be for something

what xtx said. you will absolutely have more doors open to you in your future. i see a lot of people whining about how they can't get a job in a hospital as easily as they hoped. true that. but it won't always be like that, and more to the point, there are a bazillion non-hospital jobs that someday might appeal to you, and they will be completely out of the question if you don't have a bsn.

when students are so focused on the only nursing they see, the nursing in the hospitals and other facilities where they do their clinicals, they have no idea about what else they can do someday. you are wise to be preparing now, even if you have no idea what for. god knows i never heard of the stuff i do now when i was a student (or the last four or five things i did!). some of it didn't even exist then, and i can't imagine what opportunities may arise for you.
