It's well worth the money. A little hard to figure out though. Of course after I read the directions, it was much easier!! LOL!

Are you talking about a template? I have heard of them. Which one did you get? Does it really help?

I got an APA format program from Perlla.com. It was wonderful! It cost me $25 but definitely worth it. Plus, you can download it straight from the web.

Here is my dumb question for the day. What is an APA paper? I am just working on my prereqs right now.

The only dumb question is one that you do not ask for clarification on

APA refers to the American Psychology Association format for citing intext quotes, information from an outside source, and organization on the bibliography. It is basically one more way of making college hellishly difficult

There are a lot of rules, periods, spacing, and wierd other punctuation marks that are included. Most papers within the medical professions use APA format, and it is geared towards research. Don't worry about knowing all of this now, you will learn soon enough

So it is like the MLA style. It sounds like the same thing. I remeber having to use(the MLA) it to write my papers in my Comp class.

Yes, it is pretty much like MLA, only the style is a little different. If you are pretty familiar with MLA, switching wont be that difficult for you. I still have to refer to my APA manual from time to time, but once you understand one format, using the other isnt that bad.

It has been a while. Almost four years ago. UGH. I hated it then.

IMHO, APA style is a lot different than MLA. That's what screws me up all the time. I'm used to MLA, and find that to be the easiest, but seems like every little thing is different in APA....I will seriously praise the Lord when I never have to write another APA paper

This is the site that you can buy it from.

You are right Brandy....it does make things a little more difficult!! What happened to the good old days where a paper, was a paper, was a paper!! LOL!

Anyway, this is the official site that you can buy it from-

    http://www.apastyle.org/stylehelper/

I bought the disk just in case my computer (or me) does something stupid, I won't lose it!

I looked in the bookstore at the mall for an APA writers guide and couldn't find one. I'm used to MLA too, but my Intro to Nursing teacher said that most nursing schools use APA. I didn't know where to get it, now I do, Thanks!
