Anyone Going to UT Health Science Center?

  1. I am looking for someone who is going/has (recently) gone to UTH-HSC's BSN program. I would like to get a "heads-up", any advice, buy used books, or possibly carpool in the future. Thanks for your help!

I was hoping to find some people from my school too, but so far no luck (seems us Mississippians are few and far between on the 'net)

The UTHSC's BSN program does not admit it's first class until Summer 2005. I believe they will start accepting applications this fall. The UTHSC's BSN program is a collarboration of the old Methodist Diploma program and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. You can get more information at www.utmem.edu/nursing

Hey!! I haven't gone but I'm looking into applying to UTHSC in Houston in addition to the TWU in Houston BSN programs. Only thing that I've noted is that UTSC houston requires two years of Chemistry as oppose to the one everyone else wants. I'm just complaining- I'll suck it up and take it but just puts a strain on getting my prereqs in two years.

Four year degrees are NO LONGER four years.

    How wonderful for us!

    not true on the chemistry.
I applied and had an interview, all prereqs were in, and chemistry is only one semester w/lab...
    good luck.

It is only UTMB that requires an extra science and lab...in fact they used to require that the second science was the second part of inorganic chemistry but that is no longer a requirement. Good luck!

Could you tell me a little about how your interview went? Also, do you have volunteer experience?

5th science at UTMB is a 3 hour science , which means no lab...
