Most associates require clinicles. I would be afraid of any rn coming at me with an iv of medications who did not do any clinicles!

Me! I am just starting the program at Stratford university in woodbridge, va. We just got here in Jan, our 5th PCs in less than ten years and I've transfered schools just as many times. I was on standby at csu-pueblo, after finishing all their prereqs. It's all such a pain! We should be here a good four years so I am excited to actually finish the bsn!

Grew up AF, married Army. I was in the same boat. My advice is to do it in chunks. Look for an 18 month Associates program and get your license. You can do your ADN to BSN online. Good luck!

Yep that's my goal. The adn program is 2 years at my school which isn't bad. They have 1 semester if pre reqs for the program but each of those also require pre reqs like biology in order to take anatomy and college algebra in order to take chemistry so on and so forth. I wish a degree really did take only 2 years that would be nice!

Yes. We are an active duty Army family and of course proud Army wife. However my husband is a recruiter so makes it a little easier. 10 years in and he is getting out in 2 more due to recent shenanigans. Lol. Still move every 3 years but we are settled now so I have applied to programs and waiting to hear! Our last PCS kept me from applying to a nursing program! Frustrating but I am finally there! We have 5 kids total lol. But 3 that are with us....the other 2 live far away in texas and we are in Indiana. I think we can all agree it sucks having to put off our career off for theirs but part of it! I am thankful I was finishing up...like literally 2 months left of Paramedic school when I met my hubby or else who knows when I would of been able to finish!

Hey, I am in Fort Benning as well...in a local BSN program at the University. My problem is that we PCS to CO Springs in June and I am one class away (Critical Care) from graduating. I have no idea what to do. I am 5 years and about $85k in, and refuse to *retake* classes somewhere else. I feel absolutely desperate right now and have no idea what to do. Any ideas from anyone...I sure will take 'em!

Honestly, I would stay behind and take that course to graduate. I don't know when you have to take that class (I guess fall?), but I would maybe go to Colorado for awhile during summer break, help the fam get settled & come back to graduate for the class.

Otherwise you will most likely have to start from the bottom allll over again. And that is such a waste of time/money when you are so close right now!

Stay!!!! When I got accepted into my program, my hubby and I talked and we decided that of he were to get orders, I would stay. Also, your soldier should be able to call his branch manger and ask for a deferment, since you are in school.

Or at least that's what I think it's called. But they can bump his report date back. Just have to talk to the right people

For one class I would try my best to stay behind too.

Hey all. My fiance is at Ft Campbell, and I will be waiting til we PCS next year before starting my Rn-BSN program. I am figuring it will be about 2 years and am definitely planning on doing it all in one spot! I am finishing Excelsior's ADN program by the end of this year.

Good luck everyone!
