    I am a 42 year old mom who is in the first semester of nursing school (graduation -spring 2011) and would really like to find someone closer to my age to get together with that understands the rigors of nursing school. I am by far the oldest in my class (most 1/2 my age). They are great students and I have no complaints about my classes - I just feel so old with them and many times out of place. Most of the students that are around me make me feel very welcome and reach out, but it would be really nice to have someone my own age as well. This really is not the fault of my fellow students, I really love most of them and we get along great. I am in Lexington, KY - anyone close? Obviously, I don't have a lot of time (who does while in nursing school?) - just thought I'd ask.

    Hi, KentuckyRN2Be. I'm about an hour east of Lexington - Mt Sterling. I just started nursing school in August and will graduate in May 2010. What school are you attending? I'm at BCTC in Lexington. There are quite a few students in my class my age - 41 - and older. I'm just keeping my nose to the grindstone and studying my tail off. lol Exam 2 tomorrow.
