Shoot I was a medic in the ARMY before I went for nursing and I know that some LVN do a better job then some RN's, even some medics do a better job. However, in the end it all comes down too, like in the so many other jobs that the requirements that were before great no longer are sufficient. Good luck to you and I am sure you will love the profession. I know I do and working as a medic gave me a great insight into seeing if I would like to progress or do another career all together.
Hello, thanks again for your insight!!! Also thanks for serving our country!! It's awesome people like you that allow us to have our freedoms today and live our lives with many choices and opportunities. I agree with you about that it's not a battle of who is better LVN....RN...Etc.. All I know is it's becoming more and more competetive to get in the nursing program. Shoot in one of my classes there are 20 of us who nursing majors. That is just in one class. Hopefully I can get my RN and work as an RN while I am working on my BSN!!! It's all in God's hands for me and my wife so I am not worried about it!!!

Well, you guys have already something going for you. You working as a team and how great is that to have someone at home who "truly understands" why the other person feels overwhelmed, or own or just outright ..***** ( mad is another word) lol. Plus, you guys can exchange a lot of information, because two brains worker better then one. I wish you both great luck and I cant wait to take my Nclex I feel so ready right now, but we have to wait for our grades to be released first then off as an ARMY NURSE. I feel so proud to be part of the greatest military in the World.

Hi all! Has anyone else taken any of their entrance exams yet? I have my first one (TEAS) on thursday! Then the next one HESI is on Sept 2nd. I bought the TEAS practice test from the ATI website, and made an 80 percent on it. I guess thats pretty good, since we only have to have a 60 percent to be considered. I've been studying every few days for the last few months. But I am sure the science will still be hard. Did anyone else purchase the practice test?? If so, was the real test anything like the practice version? I know the real version has more questions (I think the practice test only had 100 questions versus 170 like the real test). Im just hoping I didnt waste 32.00 on the practice version LOL. anyways, everyone keep me updated on who's taking their tests soon, and if you got in!

Hello
I have been accepted into the Spring 2010 program at Tri-C in Ohio. I have 2 kids ages 11 and 8 and a supportive husband. I currently work full time and am getting ready to start looking for something I can do on the weekends. Nice to meet you all.

I am very excited to start nursing school pretty soon. I cannot believe it is almost mid-August already. Time sure flies.

Hello, avidhunter, are you going to AC for the LVN program or RN program?? I just finished my HESI test for the LVN program starting in Jan 2010. They said we won't know anything about acceptance until Oct. I wasn't sure if you were going for the same thing as me or the RN.

I got a 94.6% overall. They showed the grade at the end of the test for us when we finished each section and at the end. I got a 98% in math and 91.3% in reading. I hope it's enough to get in!!
