Anatomy and Physiology II

  1. I will be taking A&P I this summer and A&P II this fall. The book for A&P I looks complete to me. What could they possibly have to teach in A&P II?

Can anyone please tell me what they cover in the second part of this course?

We used the same book for both A&P 1 and A&P 2. I imagine that the book you have will probably cover you through both courses.

we used the same book too. This time your instructor may feel like you should know what proximal and distal means, and where in the heck is the fundus of the stomach or fundus of the eye. It just digs a little deeper.

A&P II was the last half of the textbook for my class. I liked that I only had to buy one book for both classes. Seemed to be cheaper that way I guess.

we used the same book as well. A&P I was more of an anatomy class and A&P II delt mainly with physiology. Personally I thought II was WAY more interesting.

my A&P2 class was the same way. in A&P1 we learned what everything was and where it was located. In the second class we learned how things worked, why they worked that way and how one body system could affect others. I enjoyed 2 much much more than 1.

Well that certainly makes a ton of sense (and is a relief) since the book we'll use is almost 2000 pages!

at our school A&P is broken up into 2 semesters being I and II. We used the same book for both semesters. In A&P I we covered the bones, muscles, skin, endocrine system, reproductive, and anatomy aspects of the body then in the second semester we did the nervous system, cardiovascular system, had to know all the nerves and blood vessels, digestive system, blood, and the immune system. It was a brutal 2 semesters and amazing how much there was to know in that one book! Good luck
