Here's my advice as a PICU nurse who works with students:

Do NOT tell me as soon as report is over how you're 'only' in the pre-licensure program as a step toward becoming an NP. Because TODAY- on my watch- you're here for pre-licensure experience, and we're going to do things that staff nurses do. If I offer you the opportunity to watch or participate, TAKE IT!
