So after I graduated with my LPN in 2010, I realized I wanted to do more than just work in a LTC setting. Don't get me wrong, I adore the geriatric population, but this girl needed a change. Last year (2012) I signed up for the last pre-requisite class I needed to get into the Community College program offered where I reside. Anatomy and Physiology I&II. I flew through those courses with A in first semester and B in second semester. I applied in MArch of this year to the LPN-ADN program and last week I recieved my acceptance letter in the mail!!! This girl was on cloud 9 that day, still am! Right now I'm trying to figure out a way to afford my program, tell my employer the schedule for the fall, etc... but nothing is going to get in my way of completing this program!! Eventually I really want to pursue my bachelors/masters... MAybe NP...

How is the program going so far? Are you also working?
During last semester I worked a double on Sunday a single on Monday
School was wed-fri full days
I'm taking a 4 week dev phycology class, and I'm working 3 Jobs for the summer.
It's going pretty well, just a lot of work
Gotta do what you can to survive!
