Accelerated BSN/ Second Degree BSN

by HGQ

Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum. I've done some soul searching and after much thought I have decided that I would like to go into nursing!!! I have already got a HBSc in Human Biology and was looking into accelerated or second degree BSN's. Have any of you taken or are in these types of programs? And where?! Thanks for all your help!

Best of luck...this website is great for getting info about all kinds of programs. I have a BA in Public Relations and Spanish and will be starting the Accelerated program @ Creighton University in August! When you already have a degree, the accelerated route is definitely a great option b/c you get out quickly and don't have to give up too much work time and b/c everyone in your class is kinda in the same situation. Haven't started yet though so i'll have to keep you updated!

Hello there? What state do you live in? I will be starting an acc. BSN at Cal State in Long Beach in about a month and a half. I am very excited. Previously, I was chipping away (very slowly) at a BSN at Simmons College in Boston, MA.
I moved to CA a few months ago (boyfriend in the military....)
and found this 58 week long program. It's perfect. You are in and out and can be working that much faster. I was working full time before, part time school. It was just so slow and I was pretty stressed/tired. I won't be working during this degree (impossible!) and have lots of debt, but I think it is worth it.
Good Luck!

Default Accelorated
Hey everyone. I'm currently in an accelorated program (11 months), which completes in September (god-willing)...NurseDiva is starting the same school, same program, Drexel in Phila.

I'm so happy to finish. When I'm done I'm sure I can tell you that I'm glad I did it in one year. Right now I'm just trying to finish. Just remember C = RN. (That's a C grade gives you your RN). good luck to all of you.
