Did anyone attend an accelerated BSN program it's first year in existence? I am wondering how disorganized it was.

I am attending a program in its first year and wow... it was really bad. I mean, I learned a lot, had some good profs and have a 4 but if I wasn't already committed I wouldn't pay ten bucks to enroll in the program. After four years in a university, EMT school ect. I have never seen such a disorganized, uncoordinated, poorly-executed educational program...

Do you think you will feel prepared to work once you graduate?
I am scared about my program. They have a regular BSN program but this is the first year as an accelerated...
As of right now I don't feel ready to work, but I'm hoping that will go away once I get through next semester. I feel like I know text stuff from learning on my own, but when it comes to clinical and "practical lecture" areas I fell like I'm not prepared.

I'm starting one in early January. It will be the second class since the creation of their accelerated program. They admit there were problems with the first class. As they say, admitting you have a problem is the first step to solving it. :)
Thanks for the advice guys :)
I figure I am in the program and I am not chancing waiting for acceptance at another longer and later starting date. So, I have to suck it up and make the most of it. Someone always has to be first right??

Good luck. Just remember no one feels "ready" when the graduate, we all regardless of program come out of school real green. I can't imagine the discipline required to do an accellerated program, so I wish you well. I've always taken the slow route myself. :)
I think since they already have established a traditional program that this will help make it easier for them, so that's a plus. Also, regardless of the program traditional or accellerated you hear of all kinds of "problems" anyway.
Best wishes for success!
