Jan 25, '02ESSARGE!!!!!!! WOW, that is totally wonderful and awesome. I bet is sort of seemed like a dream at first. I know I would have thought so if it was me. Well, I am keeping my eyes open for things around my area. During spring break I am going to making trips to various hospitals in my area to see what they have to offer for new grads. I am only really familar with a couple of the hospitals in my area. I know ER is your dream job and I am happy for you.
Also to CRNASOMEDAY I would like to say congratulations to you on your job. I know Saint Louis University hospital is a WONDERFUL hospital and if I ever move down there closer to family then I would either work there or at Children's in Saint Louis.
Jan 26, '02Essarge,
I can't even imagine the look on your face when she was telling you about the job, the free money, working in the ER etc... I'm so happy for you!! You deserve it totally. It's like winning the lottery but kinda better right??
Jan 27, '02CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
I,TOO,AM ON WITH THE HOSPITAL I WORK AT.I KNOW YOU ARE BREATHING HUGE SIGH OF RELIEF WITH THE FINACIAL BURDEN LIFTED.
I KNOW THIS SOUNDS SHALLOW BUT MONEY CHANGES EVERYTHING! WHAT A BLESSING.ENJOY THE ED!
Jan 27, '02How totally amazing! I know in CA, there is such a shortage of nurses, especially in ER and ICU, that they will make similar deals, but not usually with nurse students! When will you be finished with your RN program? I am thrilled for you! God bless, Heather
Jan 27, '02Graduate in May '04. That's why this is soooo amazing. They don't offer this to any students until their senior year so I got it in my junior year. They told me that I'm the first one that they are trying this with. Gee...no pressure huh!?!?!?! That's why I'm so excited!! I do have to return 4 years to them, but that's ok because I'd planned on working there anyway. If I decide to leave (which I have no intention of doing), then it is treated like a loan and I have a payback schedule.
