By the time I post this it will actually be even less time I until I start my program! After the

start date was pushed back TWICE! *grrr* it's finally starting! I'm so excited! I made it through the 491 flash cards I had to make but I still have homework to finish! Eeeck!

Soooo... Any last minute suggestions, tips or anything about anything? School supplies, organization, study tips, what to expect regarding homework, papers? I'm open to ALL ADVICE! ^__^

Specializes in Med/Surg, Ortho, ASC.

What kind of program are you starting?

LVN program. :)

Congratulations! Good Luck. Don't get bogged down with trying to read EVERY word in the texts. I recommend this to everyone: Prentice Hall's Reviews and Rationales, the med-surg one. Also, this is HUGE. Get an NCLEX book and practice practice practice NCLEX style questions. Both Saunders and Lippincott are awesome.

Oh, and take advantage as much as possible the skills lab. And utilize your instructors office hours for concepts you may be struggling with.

Thanks for the advice Sleepy! I love reading everything given to me so that's not going to be a problem! I'm hungry, thirsting, insatiable for knowledge:bookworm:!

I have been reading a lot of people recommend getting familiar with NCLEX styled questions, definitely going to have to do that. Although the ones that have been presented to us in class did not seem to hard to me.. Better to master it while it's easy than to fret when it's hard right? :)

Hey congrats![/quote']

Thank you!
