1st time shaving

  1. someone in another thread mentioned shaving a patient. I shaved a 'patient' for the first time the other day, and let me tell you how it went. First of all, I am a man. But that didn't help. I was shaving a woman's pubic region. So, we got the hair trimmed down, got all the shaving cream put on (she put it on), and I put the razor in place for the first stroke. I got less than 1mm and had to stop. All the 'stubble' was grabbing at the blade, and it was weird, not like shaving myself at all. I was afraid that to pull forward with the stroke would a.) pull all that stubble the entire way, causing alot of pain, and b.) scrape her terribly, leaving the typical tiny bubbles of blood all over. So I just stopped, pulled the razor away, I was a deer in the headlights. She said "What's the matter?" I said I didn't want to hurt her, she said it didn't hurt at all, I finally just did it. It worked. It felt weird the whole time, like I was scraping her and hurting her, but not a single drop of blood and she claims that it didn't hurt at all. It seemed to take forever, but only took about 25 min. I was very careful and meticulous, and took my time.
