If I unexpected have to take my darlin to a doctors appointment. They will however give me an excused absense for it.

Unexcused absense is , say your car breaks down. Our DON says , take a cab to work.

Calling in period. If I made arrangements with management or switched shifts in advance my shift would be covered and not be considered absent. What an interesting way to split a hair. So then what? Certain types of abscences are approved? Strange to me, suspicious that the wording is used to further penalyze you the employee for calling in
