Patient to Nurse Ratios: What are yours?

Alabama, although city is too specific as it is a very small town.

38 bed med-surg unit

Varies depending on dept census. Usually 4:1 at the least, and the max I have had was 10:1 - but only once. 6:1 is about the average

Nc on 2nd I have 27 mixture of rehab and long term on 3rd it's 36

LTC, 1 LPN to 12 to 18 pts, I work the subacute/vent unit. My midnight shift adds about 10 more. Oh yeah , been a nurse for 2 months now by the way.
