Hey, I am new here..But I needed to just vent because NONE of my family understands when I tell them I know I failed. I took the test today, and almost every question threw me off. I kept getting check all of the above(which I never get right) and what pt. do you see first. All of the patients were dying or stable. I come home to look up some of the meds I got, and I know I got those wrong. I really feel like I bombed this test and am in tears. Did anyone feel like they missed a good 30, and still passed??

I also had 75 questions and passed. I felt on every question as if I were guessing. The whole "best answer" thing, you know. Apparently I chose correctly. I was pretty concerned, but I thought that since I graduated with honors from nursing school; that would be crazy for me to fail so horribly that I wouldn't get more questions than that. I mean, if you get 75 and failed that means you basically got everything wrong. Still, it worries everyone I've spoken with about it.

Congrats, Shana

Thank you for the encouragement. I really hope I do pass. I mean I took Kaplan and did well, and got mostly A's and like 2 B's for the Nursing Program. Both HESI's I got were about 1100, so that's why I am so confused because almost all the questions were like nothing I've learned. I should know by Tuesday, hopefully. I am definately going to be anxious these next few days though. I just don't know what more I could study if I failed it...

I felt the same way...The first 30 were not that bad, then it went from I have no idea and picked the best one- VERY similar to taking a Kaplan Tests. I looked up alot and found that I got them WRONG!!!! I few check that apply- WRONG and mostly Priority and Delegation.
I painfully and anxiously waited 48 hours and received my unofficial quick results- It said PASS!!!!! I praised God, Thanked Christ and called everyone to tell them, who all have been telling me I passed.
I studied 3 months I used content review CD's and tests by Miller, Davis book, Meds Pub, Evolve, Priority and Delegation Book- I highly recommend and Hesi Review with practice test ( I used my med surg book with HESI and looked up the information as I went along - Increasing my knowledge Big time) Kaplan - Highly recommend- These 3 highly recommended sources were very HARD and higher lever and the best Preparation EVER
I studied 5-6 hrs per day 50-200 questions per day, reviewed the rationales, wrote down the question and answer, I worked HARD.
When it came to the NCLEX I felt that I didn't have enough questions and the test was not as hard as I expected or I just failed it.
Again I tell you- I passed and I am so Happy.
If you put the time into it, it will work.
By the way, I only felt 65% ready for the NCLEX when I took it.
I was not that good with meds, so I studied the basic meds, and the basic math.

Well I am glad that you did pass, you certainly put in the work. I did do the HESI book and took the Kaplan course, and then used my Mosby's NCLEX. I reviewed as much as I could've daily since I have graduated which was Aug 3rd. I did ok on Kaplan, in the 70% usually. But I felt prepared since I did well on the HESI and ARNET in school. The questions I had though yesterday were like nothing I had EVER seen. Not even close to Kaplan's questions or the HESI Books, and I thought HESI questions were hard. Nothing like yesterdays test. I hopefully will find out Tuesday, I hate waiting the weekend though, it's torture!!! I know I got that last one right, but thats the only one! I don't feel confident in any of my questions. And if I did fail, that means the ones I took were EASY! Guess we'll see...Thanks for posting to me though. Any words of encouragement help at this point!
