Hi! I just took my nclex this afternoon (Friday) at 2pm. I was wondering when I'll be able to get the results, Sunday or Monday?? Im soo nervous right now. I feel like throwing up. I didnt get enough sleep (maybe had 3hrs of sleep the most) because of anxiety I guess. And computer shut down after 75 questions. Ive been reading the posts in this thread which made me feel a little better that maybe I did pass too. I got 3 math, maybe 6 SATA, 4 meds, mostly infection precautions and legal issues (breach of confidentiality etc), not much prioritization and maybe 1 delegation. I dont know if I passed. When I got to 72 questions I was hoping to get more questions and I felt Id rather get 265 questions than 75 because I really dont feel that I did soo well to pass it. Most of the questions though I felt were easy (but I dont think I got them right) even the meds were all familiar meds. I have a headache just thinking about this.

I don't know what state you're in, but if you're eligible for quick results, it should be Sunday at 2pm (on Pearson site). It was exactly 48 hours from my appointment time. My appt time was Fri at 10:30am. My results were available at exactly 10:30am on Sunday morning. Don't worry, my test also shut down at 75, and i felt like I guessed every answer, but I passed. All of my nurse friends convinced me that it's very unlikely that i would have failed at 75--- much much more likely that I passed. Try and relax over the next two days--- we spent the weekend at the beach, so I could try and relax and not think about it (yeah right).

Thank you so much WestwingFan and Sheune15 for all your words of encouragement! I just found out I PASSED!! I cant believe it!! I did it! I am now an RN!! Also, thanks to everybody who posted in this thread.. this was the only thing that helped me get through the first 24hrs after taking the exam... I encourage anyone whos planning to take the NCLEX to take KAPLAN and not the NCSBN.. NCSBN is a total waste of time and money. I didnt learn a single thing from there. Im glad my subscription ended and had to study Kaplan.

Oh man do I hope I am in the 86% there who passed.

I about had a heart attack when it cut me off at 75 questions an hour into the exam.

I just wanted to scream "no! You just started giving me questions I know! you can't pass or fail me when all I got were tons of OB/GYN questions and like 20 of those impossible 'select all that apply'!"

I just found out I passed the NCLEX (78 Qs total--I guess they really wanted to be sure)! But the 2 days waiting for the results were pure hell--I truly believed I had failed and was preparing my mea culpas to everyone who would have to cope with my failure. To all of you who are still waiting, either for your results or will be taking the exam soon, please don't let this exam drag you down. After reading this thread it seems that few are ready for the way they will feel after taking the NCLEX, and I think it would be worthwhile for nursing schools to help students understand that the structure of the test is such that they will REALLY feel they knew nothing after taking it. So hang tough, nurses!

Well I found out. 75 questions and I did pass afterall.

I really feel like my nursing school did a really good job preparing the student for the NCLEX by teaching us the formats of the test, the question types, and having us take NCLEX style practice tests throughout the program...
I still came out of there absolutely *knowing* I failed.

From what I hear nearly everyone feels that way. They are just really challenging questions, no two ways about it. You can study for months and I'm sure it will still throw a few curveballs at you that leave you stumped.
