I left the testing center wondering what I had just done, and why didn't I just study harder? (And I practiced with hundreds of questions by the way....) I was so depressed over the next couple of days, crying and pretty much giving myself an ulcer (and quite a few breakouts!). When I checked my quick results after 48 hours.... I had passed!? The NCLEX was awful and if I had had to bet my life on it, I would have said that I failed. For those of you that just took it, only to come home and google "Fail NCLEX 75 questions" (as I did), I hope that my story will offer you some hope, as I DID pass!! Alexis, RN

lol. i pretty got much the same feeling and same incident you had, i almost vomited while steppin of out the building.. the main thing is you have to keep the faith in yourself.. that's it.. i think its really impossible not to feel like failure is not at hand. everyone feels that way. rock on and good luck to other future RN!

I just took it--- it shut off at 75 questions. I thought I was going to cry. I'm pretty sure I did fail, because I knew nothing. I'm afraid to try the pearson trick.

i took the nclex-RN on July 28th 2009, Wow it was the most stressful day of my life. I had 75 questions in about 50 minutes... afterwards i came out the center crying terrible because i thought i failed. for the next 2 days i waited for my results i was so sick... headache, muscle ache the whole nine yards.. thursday i went on the website and it said my score was available, when the screen came up i close my eyes, i opened one eye to look at the results and it said pass.. i was so happy i started crying.... it was the most happiest moment of my life.. so yes you can pass with 75 questions..

I tried to edit my original post, but couldn't. I was sure I failed at 75 on Friday, but got word yesterday that I passed. It took me a few minutes to stop crying when I found out.

i just finished my NCLEX exam... it cut off at 75... I wasn't confident with ANY of my answers. I got 4-6 SATA questions, a few pharm, 2 drug calculations and I don't remember the rest. I am freaking out... I don't see how I passed. I feel like all my preparing was a waste of time... As much studying as I did, I don't feel that it helped. I seriously hope I get some good news in 2 days...

I would just like to say a big THANK YOU to whoever created this poll... You may have prevented a panic attack and/or ulcer for this girl. It is very, very comforting to see such a high passing percentage (and low failing percentage) at 75 questions! I hope if I ever end up in a hospital, you are my nurse!! I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that I passed!
