Hi all. I'm looking for some advice. I'm planning on moving to Colorado and working at Denver Children's. I've been a traveler for years and in shock over staff pay. I was wondering if anyone worked agency there and if that's the way to go over staff. My speciality is PICU. It's not just about the money but I want to make the most possible
Agency does pay slightly more than a staff, depends on the agency. I work agency, yet also have to work full time in order to cover monthly expenses. Last week I got a whopping 6 hours per agency. So please know that agency can't always get you the hours needed, and I use agency to help fill in but not for my only source of income. Many times agency will only have long term care shifts available... if you do not do nursing homes shifts in hospitals are far and inbetween many times. I am in Pueblo and have traveled off and on for many years.
