The main point is who is legal and who is illegal...
The native Indian did not invite anyone to come here!!!
From their point of view, whoever that is not Native Indian is illegal.

Then why did you bring it up?

And when we speak of illegal, I'm speaking of TODAY, in this country, based on our laws.
So yes, if you illegally enter this country, then you are illegal. Period, end of story.

I am speaking of who is legal and who is illegal whether is today or a few hundred years ago.
European, Asian, Mexican, African or ET...they all are illegal based on what the Native Indian see it. Period.

Well, the OP wasn't speaking via the Native Americans.

But I guess maybe the church of the Flying spaghetti monster may see you as illegal...who knows, and who cares...

What matters now, is what our American Government determines as illegal. And that's anybody crossing our borders without permission.

Kinda basic, dontcha think?

Then the Native Americans aren't legal either, because the first Indians came here via what is now Alaska and Russia.

I guess the problem is that we are not speaking about who was illegal a few hundred years ago.

The problem is complicated enough to address in a modern context. If we confound the issue with prior countries (with radically different legal systems) there's no way to even start to address the issues of immigration today.

Peace,
Cathie

Agree with both of the above.

Anyway, we're supposed to be talking nursing issues here.

You don't think that illegal immigration is a nursing issue?
