Wolfson Children's Hospital- Relocation Help!

U.S.A. Florida

Specializes in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Hi everyone! I just accepted a position at Wolfson Children's Hospital as a nurse resident! I am anxiously awaiting my start date and am moving from Georgia! I was hoping to recruit any Jacksonville natives on help with apartment hunting! Looking for a 1 bedroom apartment, safe, pet-friendly, and no more than 15 minutes from the hospital. Thanks for your help!!

Hi!

Do you mind sharing your experience at Wolfson's and the RN residency graduate program offered at Baptist?

Hi! How long did it take for you to hear you got accepted to the residency program? I am still waiting to hear back. The application just says 'screen'. Thank you in advance for your response.

Hi everyone,

I am interviewing there soon. I was wondering if anyone ending up starting the residency program there and has any info!

I may be starting there soon in their nurse residency program....do you have any advice on apartments based on your previous post? Did you end up doing the residency at Wolfson - if so how was your experience? Thanks.

Wolfson Children's Hospital is river side in the San Marco area of Jacksonville. Its gorgeous with a great foodie restaurant and bar scene.

I would look (google) apartments in the San Marco area, and on the opposite river bank in what are called the Five Points and Riverside neighborhoods. All these neighborhoods would be walkable/bikable to work.

In San Marco I would look at: San Marco Village Rentals - Jacksonville, FL | Apartments.com

Great independent apartment complex that allows pets and is in a smaller quite culdesac neighborhood.

Alternatively the area known as St Johns Town Center is 22 minutes from Wolfson and is a HUGE shopping, entertainment, and restaurant area for young professionals with numerous apartment and condo options in the area.

Atlantic Crossing nearby has one bedroom apts and allows pets: Bad Request

Did anyone end up getting hired? Looking for info about the program.
