I work in a cubicle and hope to start nursing school next Spring. I come here to dream... OK...that sounds cheesy. I just enjoy reading the honest statements from people that will REALLY let me know what I am about to get myself into. AND it's addictive and a break from databases. UGH.

Tjello, that was me 12 months ago! I quit my job last August and started school later that month. I've learned so much about nursing from this site.

I love reading the controversial threads and just love to stir them up a little!
I've probably gotten a terrible name round here, but somebody has to stir the pot! I'm really very easy to get along with and not too dumb so it's really not hard to work with me either. LOL
Love to get them riled up!

I come to this site for relaxation, the cameraderie of other nurses, learning, and because I have really come to consider you all friends. I never thought this forum would become such a part of my daily routine, but it has.

Also, you know when you come home from work with this great story to tell and you rush to your husband/wife/sister etc. and when you're done with the story, they just don't get it? You guys all get it!

You forgot 9. The pompous poster who routinely fails to respond to the substance of a post because s/he is too busy dissecting the message for spelling or grammar errors.
LOL!! No let me correct that. When someone realizes that they are losing an arguement and have no leg to stand on, they resort to picking apart the spelling and grammar of the poster they can't win with!! I do notice that quite a bit.

I come here because there is no other place like it on the web for nurses and nursing students. I personally enjoy the group of students that are just starting LPN classes. They are so sweet! Everyone here is very supportive, and honest with their advice. I'm extremely happy I found this site...I really feel like I won't be starting nursing school as a niave gal. I somewhat know what to expect thanks to this site

basically to waste time...see if other people have the same headaches as i have...and to practice my advice-giving skills.

To find out what I have gotten myself into! Just kidding. I am a new grad and I am fully aware of issues facing nursing today. I am ready to begin my first nursing job and I look forward to it.

This is a great site because it looks very nice and has a well thought out design (thanks Brian). And it just wouldn't be the same without all of its awesome members. This site has made me laugh so much! Allnurses features horror, romance, comedy, action, drama, and animation (think avatars)....who needs TV or movies?
