I work in Non medical home health I am head of services and .We do all kinds of PT's We work with hospice,in hospitals as sitters .In assisted livings as private care aides. In the home as aides /homemakers and We also travel with the Pt when needed. We have a wide range of Pt's from the mentally challenged ,brain injured ,to just to people who need help in the home or companionship shopping .Or just needs assistance with bathing and dressing. In the morning
I personally set up care with the PT's family and Pt write the plan of care .I also market for My company with other companies .

Then I introduce the aide on first day of care Then Teach each aide what I expect with each and every Patient right down to Physically showing them how to transfer that Pt right in front of the Pt. So both the Pt and the aide know what's expected ,check the aide to make sure he /she can do it .
Our aides must have two years of practical experience before we will even consider hiring them for Pt care in the home.

Then I go back and supervise the aide to see with the family how the aide is doing .
I love my job its the best.
