i need some advice. i'm currently a lpn and just finished rn program. my problem is, i'm not sure if i should continue working as lpn until i pass my rn boards then start applying to the hospital, or if i should apply now for the graduate nurse position. any advice?

If there's a program for new grads, take the chance and apply for it. The faster you get a position, the better, because if you wait until after you take your boards the positions might be taken already.

I did the same, I worked in LTC. As soon as I graduated (I had already given notice) I started my hospital job, then I oriented until I passed my boards, that way, I got an excellent orientation. (Our hospital provides for an excellent orientation to all staff, but this is a great way to make sure you have the appropriate time frame)
