What is your ultimate nursing dream?

Nurses General Nursing

Published

Whether it is working in a specific department or whatever, what do you want in your nursing career.

Mine would be to teach in my local nursing school and support the students (not downgrade them) as they go through their nursing school education. I believe that an enthusiastic teacher could mean the difference in anyone's career.

I would also like to work within the PICU or peds unit to keep my clinical skills fresh.

wow well I am lucky I am living MY dreams, the ones I had since 1992 the year my son was born. I work in OB, where I wanted to, I work perdiem, when I choose to and I love it most of the time. The only thing I might to further aspire to would be to become a nurse-midwife one day. Not sure if I will.......I have time to decide.

ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS AN HOUR :D

My dream is to retire!

Full staff?

Better hours?

Nice patients?

No finals?

A big raise?

How about all of the above?!

Geriatric ARNP :) one day..... oh yeah, better staff, better pay, non-annoying family members, better cna's, nice doctors, less paper work, better benefits... ha,ha on and on....

Yes, that's a good one! throw in a decent retirement, and I might work at that facility til I retire! :D

Specializes in Med-Surg, Trauma, Ortho, Neuro, Cardiac.

$100.00/hr working three eight hour shifts a week from 1pm to 9pm.

Actually, I'm o.k. doing what I'm doing.

Oh, just little things. To work with staff who actually care about what they do and don't behave like children would be a very good thing!

To retire and not be homeless.

students who really, truly want to become nurses and not just hanging around nursingschool, just because they have to learn something.

this happens unfortunately! Take care, Renee
