Register Today!- by shuubie May 13, '10I've seen some positions online for IVF nurse/ infertility/fertility nurses. What exactly do you do? I know there is a lot of patient education involved. What about hands on skills?

Smart-alleck responses just discourage people from asking questions.thanks realnursesalso/lpn, I have searched google for its description but I would like to hear it directly from the fertility nurses..

greatly appreciated!
When I was finally pregnant and they were outstanding numbers.....they all (everyone in the office!) got on speaker phone to call and congratulate me!!!
Took pictures with them and my MD after I delivered.
They are in the scrapbook
- May 15, '10 by shuubieaww Otessa I'm so happy for you!!
This is exactly why I want to get into this specialty. I have some family members and friends who went through miscarriages and considered IVF but failed. I feel their pain and it saddens me to see them have a great career, great husband....all they wanted is to have their own family but can't no matter how hard they've tried. That is the only thing missing in their life.... I want to help couples achieve their dreams of having a baby
kinda silly for me to think this way right?

Not silly at all. Most of the nurses had either Med-Surg or OB/L & D experience so you may want to get a little of that under your belt first.
