Everyday I wake up at 6am in order to prepare my self for hospital training ,I've tried deferential kinds of food that i thought its going to refresh me but i didn't find until now ... I wonder what kind of food do you have for breakfast one that gives you power through the day?

thanks:)

A bowl of cereal, some oj. And bring toasted bread with peanut butter for the way there to nibble on. Keep some water on hand, and some granola bars in your pocket.

If you like larger breakfasts, scrambled egg on a whole wheat english muffin and some tea.

I LOVE my coffee, but one large travel mug of it is enough, or I spend the day jittery and not quite hungry, but feeling like I am.....

On my days off, I like to grill or broil some boneless chicken breast, slice it and put it in a container in the fridge. Get your favorite salad ingredients (or bag salad) then it is easy to put together a lunch that will bring me through the afternoon.

Yummy. Now I am hungry!

Oatmeal and some fruit juice have been my morning staples for years. A breakfast like this will keep me going until my late lunchtime.

Yeah, something with plenty of complex carbs, like cereal or oatmeal, is good.

You know what I've found gives me a ton of energy? ENSURE. I am not kidding.

thanks alooooooooooooooooooot for replying:yeah:...

I always pack my brown bag the night before, but because I have a long drive so I always start with a cup of coffee/tea. If I have no time and must hurry, I also grab a medical drink like Ensure to drink on the way and keep an extra in my backpack for emergencies.

If I have more time, I will make some oatmeal with dried fruit and thin it down down with enough warm milk to drink it from a mug (do you see a trend of eating on the run?).

I like plain greek yogurt with something stirred in (crushed up cereal, fruit, marmalade, or jam).

I also make and freeze home made bran muffins containing raisins, crainberries or apricot brand muffins; combine the muffin with coffee/tea/milk for a quick breakfast or snack.

Sometimes, breakfast may be hot toast with peanut butter and something to drink.

I have also sandwiched some shreded chedder cheese between two tortillas and warmed them warm it up--fast and easy to eat on the go.

I always have a mid morning snack--a small baggie of nuts or dried fruit, which is easy to transport, can be tucked into a pocket, and not messy.

Nothing wrong with a medical drink like Ensure. When I get home and if the weather is hot and I don't feel like cooking, I pop some chocolate ensure into the blender with lots of ice and maybe add a little sweeter and almond extract and make a healthy smoothy. Pretty good and fast/refreshing.

As a matter of fact, Ensure warmed with a little instant coffee is not bad either.

Jimmy Dean sausage, egg, cheese & biscuit followed by a glass of kefir or a chobani yogurt. Or a pbj on a bagel. Lots of coffee.

One slice of whole wheat toast, dry, one egg fried in a no-stick pan with no-stick spray, one slice bacon cooked crisp in the microwave, one small apple, 8 ounces of skim milk.

Coffee. That's it. Breakfast is only had on vacation (what's that?) days.

Definitely any protein and carbs gets you through the day better. Peanut butter, eggs, sausage, oatmeal

I've just gotten hooked on Quaker Real Medleys oatmeal. It comes in a little travel cup and it's full of big pieces of fruit and nuts. I put the water on to boil as I'm putting my scrubs on, then I pour the water in and let it "cook" for the required 3 minutes while I'm getting out the door and in the car. I eat it at the red lights! I usually snack on something with a little protein, like nuts or peanut butter crackers mid morning. I feel so much better doing this than when I was running through a drive thru on the way to work for a greasy biscuit.
