I like to flip-flop between these two Nursing BB's... depends on the topics or my mood. I like both BB's and the people (often the same) equally well... The support is great!

I do feel bad for some of the people on the NSBB... got an unfair rap or rep for a big problem that maybe never should have been allowed to go so far... sure seemed like someone was trying to lure others into a hairy conflict... or maybe wanted to shut down the whole BB...

I'm glad the administrators were wise enough to sit on it till the intent was fairly obvious...

I've never been to the other BB.

I guess I'm just too addicted to this one to think about another one!

I've never been to NS or Nursing Center's BB, but I've been to Advance for Nurses & Advance for LPNs' BB. They don't have the volume of posters there as are here. I think that's because they're relatively new.

Later, I'll visit NS & Nursing Center's BB, just to see for my self - Moe.

I like how this one is organized into categories, instead of just random thread after thread. That way, if I'm not interested in reading say, stuff that's of interest to ER nurses exclusively, I don't have to because of how this one's organized.

Funny...NSBB had a similar question asking how people felt about YOU guys.

I check out NSBB and this one and I like both. Most can really stay focused. I do find NSBB to be more "cliquie". A Certain group tends to go off topics a lot on what ever thread they feel like. I feel that SOME "personal" chats should be left for emails or at least get together in an AOL private chat room or something. "Oh I had so much fun when we got together last weekend!!".....on and on and on...TELEPHONE!!!!

Find when someone disagrees with ONE..... the "clique" comes running to the rescue...WATCH OUT!!!! Here I like the "Let's just agree to disagree" attitude.

Well I have a lot more to say but I am going to BITE my tongue.

Ahh there are cliques here too though, such as me, Stargazer, shay, Nurs4Kids and....well.....that's it. We are all just cool. ;)

Jus' kiddin. I saw the NSBB discussion about AllNurses. Personally, I like AllNurses not only for the format, but because it is run by a dude who was and IS a RN, who is the definition of small business and free enterprise! Not some big Corp like Spectrum.

HEE HEE!!! :D :) :p

The few times I have browsed NSBB, most of the threads were personal conversation, chatty things between people who knew each other - my impression was that it was very cliquey. I had to dig to find any nursing talk. I wouldn't know about the cat-fights, but even hearing that, and hearing comments *here* from people referring to someone's "behaviour on that other BB" - is very off-putting. At least here, it's easy to stay out of people's inter-personal squabbles if you want to.

I also like the format here better -easier to read, and keeps the chit-chatty "friends" or "cliques" or whatever you want to call them separate from the real nitty-gritty nursing talk. Most of the time. ;)

I used to be a regular poster to Nursing Spectrum's board. They were very helpful to me in the beginning, and it was great for me to be able to unload some of my frustrations and talk to people who understood what they were. But it got too weird and too personal. Accusations of cliques, bizarre trolls, totally off-topic threads. I, for one, don't want to log onto a professional nursing forum to read about what they like their husbands to do in bed, or to read hysterical rants about who's really using what screen name that day. It's also impossible to follow the threads sometimes, because they're simply listed by order of the original post, and posters are always starting a new thread that picks up some previous thread I haven't followed. I still lurk there on occasion, but I won't post. They screamed for registration and now they don't like it.
