Are nurses wages really too low? You decide.

I am worth what I give.

If I extend a hand to one who is helping himself then in return I will receive help when needed.

Money is but a temporary gift to tease us.

I guess this was my way of responding to Hillary Clinton saying nurses are over-paid. If the average pay for an air traffic controller is $36/hr, with as high of stress, involved with human life, and not required to have an associates degree or a bachelors degree, then I have to disagree with Hillary vehemently.

As for the nontangibles like what I do for others? That's priceless. Why do I suddenly feel like a credit card commercial?

Thanks Rusty, I like the way you look at it.

I have been looking for the quote, but I can't find it. That makes me believe that I have bad information. I haven't been able to find any statement from Hillary about anything concerning health care. So, I will have to back-up for now. If I find the quote, I'll post it.

Youda, you come up with the greatest stuff.

To all those who feel corrupted by this talk of money, think about it a second. None of us go into this profession expecting to be millionaires, not gonna happen. Sadly, employers tend to take advantage of that and pay the least amount they can get away with.

So, no, I don't exect to be rich. I do expect some form of fair compensation. And, Youda, if Hillary didn't say it (though it wouldn't surprise me) a lot of other people do.
