Good = admitedly better communication with docs
Bad = being looked at like a fleshy forklift even by my supposed freinds

I was just getting used to "stud muffin." Now it's "fleshy forklift". I need to rest.

Outlaw, when I am challenged by my female colleagues regarding my voiding tendancies the usual retort is, "at least I didn't pee all over the seat". That will often put an end to the argument. If pushed further, I pour water all over the rim and tell them I must have missed, but will take better aim on the next go around.
Tried that.... I received the next 2 admissions (including a heparin drip) and was threatened with Lasix in my coffee.

Strangely enough, I did go quite frequently that night....

One advantage to working nights - when I get the urge I go to the mens room in the waiting area about 30 feet from the nurses station. Second advantage - using that rest room allows me to avoid the fruit and flower scented air fresheners the ladies insist on putting out in the unisex staff restroom.

Best thing about being a male nurse is when you get home your wife really is more sane and better behaving person than most of the female coworkers

Oh geeeeez Fin, are you gonna catch it for that remark. I might follow this thread some more just to witness the public stoning . But seriously, I certainly hope I can work in a mixed environment. I tend to need some testosterone in the air, too much estrogen makes me nauseous.

Well, I had some real traditional male jobs before becoming a nurse ( truck driver, carpenter, fork lift operator) and there is definitely a big pluse that comes every 2 weeks.
