I know OB is one area that can be quite litigious but I wanted to know about other ones. I'm considering grad school and advanced practice nursing...Since I'm still in school right now as an undergrad I have no clue about the real world.

My guess for the top 3 would be: OB, anesthesia, and LTC.

Thanks for the replies but what does "LTC" mean? I'm sure I know it but I just can't think of it ;p.

As usual, IL is right up there in the top litigious states with 29% of all claims. The legislature this year was trying to cap medical malpractice claims but alas, didn't get it passed.
