Went To The Dr.

Okay so it's official now I have high blood pressure and he put me on a blood pressure med. I have to go back in one month to have my blood pressure checked again. I had my blood drawn so they can check for hypothyroid and anemia and a total blood . He thinks I have GERD.He says to use tums when I get the pain and see if it gets better, if not then go to mylanta or pepcid. I had a EKG done and it was normal. Hey the upside is now I am getting my blood pressure treated. So I have to wait and see what comes of the blood work.

Thanks everyone for giving me the kick in the fanny I needed to get to the DOC! :)

Hey, I think nurses as a rule ALL need that kick in the orifice to go to the doc, right? I'm the worst in that respect.

What BP med did they put you on??... Just curious because I got put on Inderal LA.. Which also helps my migraines..

I'm glad to see that you're OK! Let us know how you are doing. I was dx with GERD my first semester of nursing school. You'd be suprised how much Prevacid helps.
