Ugh!!!! Getting the dreaded phone call!

I knew my weekend had been too quiet, just kind of had that feeling, "What's going to happen?! So, of course by Saturday, my phone started ringing, My cell and our home. As soon as I checked the messages, I got that sinking feeling. I got a call from my younger brother, who I don't get along with as well as I should, I guess. He started drinking and drugging at about age 14. Now he is 35 and does not hold a job for more than 2 months at a time. My dad is codependent and gives him money. He is bipolar and doesn't take his meds as prescribed.

So, back to the point, I had a message that my father, who is in his 70's, was in the hospital and had "a big hematoma", and had "been confused". So, I call the nurses station to do a little digging. I am 5 - 6 hours away, and that doesn't help. I finally find out that the hematoma was on his knee, instead of the one I imagined as a subdural or something. He had fallen while in the yard. He started bleeding r/t his Coumadin doses.

Of course, he has the "usual" history - hx of MI, A fib, DM. That never helps, but I am glad it wasn't worse. I would appreciate any prayers you guys may be able to share with me!

I am very close to my dad so I can imagine the thoughts that would have gone through your mind. Glad for you it was not as serious as first thought and best wishes to you and your dad
