I just want to say, in the wake of my Grandmother's death and other things I have gone through, I so appreciate the kindnesses and words of wisdom I have received here. I have been a member a while now and I cannot believe how----------

Smart

Witty

Humorous

Wise

Experienced

Kind

Well-Read

Varied in Knowledge, Especially OUTSIDE the field of nursing----

-----you all are!!! I have learned of many things going on in our world, related to nursing and beyond.....HERE FIRST oftentime! You guys are like my eyes, ears and world news all rolled up in one! ( thanks to activist, current events, and other threads of varying specialties). I really appreciate what I am learning here and while we may not agree ( I can be a pita I know), I do admire this group.

Just think if we could add up years of nursing experience of members here and what we have to share!!!! It is without bounds! You guys are the GREATEST! WE can overlook some few negatives when we add up the positives each member brings to the table here. I thank you all.

This was just what I needed after a very negative couple of days. Thanks to you all, who have the talent to bring me up when I need it. I really take a lot away from this board.And just to let you know.. I got my grades last night and passed this semester with an A and a B. Whoohooo, almost an R.N.

If I made ONE person's day by being positive and helping him/her feel better, well I met my goal in starting this thread. I have been very guilty of being negative and argumentive at times. But I won't shut my mouth when I should. Yep, very opinionated.

But we have to keep our sense of HUMOR (Even if some people can't spell the word--rofl, that's for YOU Karen, hon). It's how we get by day by day. I am addicted to this place. Without allnurses, I think I would never be on line........my husband might think that would be a good thing, however....

Oh well, that's another thread. Have a good day, all. Remember, we all have great experiences, humor and intelligence to bring to the table. There is a lot to be learned if we open up our MINDS first and then our ears!!

^^^ Amen to that Smiling :) I've always found this site helpful..the many diff opinions are what makes it so great to me..makes me see things from other views I may have never even thought of before..and just because I may/may not agree with a poster doesn't mean either of us is right or wrong..just drawing from our own unique experiences.

I learn a lot here. I read and respond to that which adds to the riches of my heart, and leave the rest for other people's taste. I highly recommend ALLNURSES.COM to every nurse or potential nurse that I get to know as a sincere person. :nurse:

Good thread Deb...we need to encourage one another and DEFINITELY need a safe place to vent!! :)

And problem solve, and ask questions and etc. This is one of my favorite places to go everyday. :)

I have been on this board for a while now and have never thought anyone was rude on here. Questions are answered here, support is given, and it is a great sounding board.

Deb, you are one of many who keep this going for us with your experience and support. I'm glad you started this thread.
