thyroid radiation question

Hi all, I have a question. Does anyone know if there is any reason they would do radiation after a thyroid biopsy other than cancer?

hyperthyroidism? radiation is sometimes used to control a hyperactive thyroid. it actually kills some of the cells to slow down the thyroid.
