Thoughts on Christmas scrubs...Yea or No way?? Would I look like a goober or would I be in the holiday spirit???:lol2:

It must be nice to be able to wear different patterns. My job just have blue uniforms we have to wear with their company name on it. It really sucks...

I dont mind the universal ones.. like snowflakes and snowangels are ok... but it gets a little excessive when you see scrubs with presents on them. I think the worst scrubs that I thought were kind of offensive or could be taken that way were red firetrucks in LTC for adults, and Turkey scrubs. Yes, scrubs with turkeys, like the kind where you would take it out of the freezer and cook it. not cute little gobble gobble turkeys. NO dead, skinned, ready to cook turkey. hahaha... i wonder who's idea those were? :)

We wear ours at work! But, then again, it's a casual office, and some of the girls just wear jeans year-round, so there you go!

But, I have to agree with some of the other posters, don't wear them until after Thanksgiving :)

why not?

i have a rule that if i have to ask myself if it is okay to wear something the answer is likely no.

i keep it neutral for the holidays in effort to avoid being offensive.however, i do not object to others being festive with their attire.

Yes I will be wearing Christmas Scrubs this year. And Thanksgiving.

I've already worn halloween scrubs.

Wearing one of two Holloween scrub tops today, and will wear my Christmas scrub tops after Thanksgiving. :)

Just think of all the sad children who come from Jewish households. Will no one wear Chanukah scrubs for them?

Re: the skinned turkey scrubs. I would totally wear those, though it would only be for the whacky factor. Those sound bizarre!

Otherwise, I think print scrubs are unprofessional in all settings except where pediatrics make up a significant part of the patient population.

No,

I was holding off on posting to this, but the nay sayers have arrived... I find it unprofessional, perhaps its because I am a guy, but would prefer that everyone come to work do their job and be a nurse - not a cartoon character.

Put up a few decorations - but take them down on the 2nd of January please.

BTW - I love christmas at home and all the decorations around town

I don't see anything wrong with them.

I used to wear all kinds of cartoony scrubs until I started working in ER. While trying to explain to a family that their loved one was not doing very well, it hit me that it might be a little difficult to take someone seriously who is wearing Dora scrubs or Noahs Ark scrubs. The very next day I tossed them all and bought new solid color or simple print ones. This is just my opinion of course but I think cartoon and silly scrubs are not appropriate for all areas

I guess it would depend on where you work but for my school nurse job I wear holiday scrubs for all of the holidays. I think they are really cute and the students seem to like them too:nurse:
